About Our Root Canal Therapy

Do you think that you may need to visit an endodontist near you? During your root canal treatment, a tiny hole will be created in your affected tooth to access the root canal/pulp. Within the root canal, there are nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue that may need to be completely removed. Once the endodontist removes the infection/decay, the tooth is completely disinfected and sealed to prevent further complications such as additional decay, infection or disease.

Following root canal treatment, we recommend that patients receive a dental crown for the affected tooth. Placing a dental crown provides additional protection, structural support and can even improve the appearance of your affected tooth.

Patients that neglect to treat infected, decayed or damaged tooth roots often experience more severe complications, which may require a tooth extraction or even hospitalization. We recommend treating any severe decay, an infection or other types of tooth damage immediately.
